I will be teaching this course online this summer. This course provides a basic overview of the issues and criminology of terrorism. It will discuss international terrorism from ethnic, nationalistic, and separatist perspectives and look at religious and ideological terrorism; both international and domestic. Specific terrorist organizations will be analyzed and discussed with specific attention given to future trends and behavior such as; suicide terrorism, Weapons of Mass Destruction, Cyberterrorism and other terrorist “tools of the trade”. Homeland Security and counter-terrorism issues will be addressed along with the importance of intelligence sharing and governmental partnerships between federal, state, and local law enforcement and intelligence agencies. In addition, you will be introduced to the Center for Domestic Preparedness interactive training exercises for the National Incident Management System (NIMS) to enrich your understanding of the principles of Homeland Security in the United States. I will be teaching Research Methods CJ3900, ONLINE Spring Quad A, March 14 – May 5, 2021. This course will provide an overview on various research methods in Criminal Justice. Emphasis will be on the theory, principles, and methods used in Criminal Justice research. The course addresses broad range of research methods, data collection strategies such as questionnaires, interviews, observational techniques, sampling, secondary sources, computers technology and analytical tools that are commonly used in the Criminal Justice System.
GROUP AND TEAM DYNAMICS BSE 3540: SPRING 2021 ONLINE
I am teaching the following course spring 2020: Group and team Dynamics. This course examines the theoretical underpinning of team development and the interplay of group interactions inherent in organizational settings. Students will participate in simulated activities to become familiarized with conflict resolution strategies, and model the processes of initiating, cultivating, and maintaining team efficiency and effectiveness. Special attention will be given to developing soft-skills namely, emotional intelligence, building rapport and trust, persuasion, and perception management. Using an action-learning model, portions of classroom time will function as a laboratory, where students will work in teams to address real organizational or societal problems that will culminate in a signature team project and presentation at the end of the term.

Application of the above theory is practiced throughout the course in the form of project-based teams, managerial interviews, leadership assessments/questionnaires, structured reflections, presentations, and basic-level scholarly research using APA (American Psychological Association) style as to research writing.
